Our Mission:
To alleviate poverty and bring about community restoration in partnership with businesses, organizations, and those living in generational poverty in Jacksonville’s most economically distressed urban core (32206).
- We equip resident partners with biblical principles of stewardship.
- We equip community business and organization partners to help without hurting.
- We provide Christ-centered Career Development Training.
Our Core Values
Christ-centered: The Gospel and the truth of God’s Word will be the foundation of all we do.
Generational: We will teach stewardship principles that align with Scripture (Deut. 6:7-9, 20-21) and challenge each generation to lead those that come after them.Generosity: We will model and teach from an abundance perspective, being radically generous, rooted in a belief that God can provide everything we need (Phil. 4:19).
Community Restoration: We do not seek to replace, but to restore. We will call out the Divine image in each person and community, with the goal of seeing cities flourishing from within.
Accountability: We will model and teach the highest levels of accountability and integrity in how we handle finances, monitor our programs, and relate with Kingdom investors.
Ownership: We believe that a community flourishes when the people within that community truly desire change and become an integral part of that change.
Stewardship: We also believe that managing one’s money and possessions God’s way results in true freedom and is essential for the flourishing of future generations.
Partnership: Our focus is on developing and nurturing healthy partnerships within the community. We will not do for others what they can do for themselves.
PROGRAMS
Financial Literacy Classes (for all ages)
Our goal is to see families become less dependent on the government and more dependent on God. In partnership with Compass, and The Chalmer Center, we teach families how to maintain a spending plan, set financial goals, manage debt, and pass on a legacy of debt-free living to their children.
“Helping Without Hurting” Classes (for business and nonprofit leaders)
In partnership with the Chalmers Center, we help leaders rethink how to address generational poverty. As a result, those leaders embrace a generous, relational, patient, and prayerful approach to poverty alleviation.
Community Partners Network
Using an Asset-Based Community Development approach, Project Restore is a grassroots organization comprised of diverse community partners committed to poverty alleviation and community restoration in the urban core.
Career Development Program (Chalmers Center)
We also plan to provide a sustainable jobs ministry that helps people find and keep career-path employment. This is a practical and measurable way to address economic disparity in Jacksonville.
It is our belief that families and communities anchored in Christ will experience God’s blessing. We exist to see poverty alleviation and community restoration within our inner-city, resulting in flourishing and sustainable communities in Jacksonville, FL.
